CareChek app for iPhone and iPad

CareChek is a positive patient identification system that allows healthcare professionals to accurately associate hospital work with the correct patient by matching patient wristband bar codes to units of blood, specimen, medication, breast milk, and catheters.

CareChek is broken out into 5 different modules which are licensed accordingly:

1. CareChek Tx - Transfusion Administration System
2. CareChek Sp - Specimen Collection System
3. CareChek Rx - Medication Administration System
4. CareChek Lc - Breast Milk Matching System

CareChek Tx
The Transfusion Administration module ensures that the correct unit of blood is transfused to the correct patient. With CareChek Tx acting as an additional verifying system, the risk of human error that is introduced into the transfusion process is nearly eliminated.

CareChek Sp
The Specimen Collection module provides a mechanism for hospital employees to accurately label specimen that are collected from patients at the bedside. By utilizing CareChek Sp at the bedside, needless blood draws and mislabeled specimen by way of human error are virtually eliminated.

CareChek Rx
The Medication Administration module ensures that the correct dosage and medication are administered to the correct patient in a timely manner. Hospital employees can set up administration schedules so that nurses receive reminders on when its time to administer a medication to a patient.

CareChek Lc
The Breast Milk Matching System combines the functionality of CareChek Tx and CareCheck Tx to institute feeding schedules for infants in the NICU. By partnering with mothers and nurses alike, CareChek Lc provides a mechanism to accurately label milk containers and verify that the a mothers milk gets to her baby.
